The card is flagged.

You only got approved by an automated check, you were never really approved in the first place. Banks perform internal fraud evaluation on virtually all credit card purchases online. They've found suspicious activity with your card and purchase hence declining your order.

Another reason could be insufficient funds in the card. Perhaps retry with a lesser amount.

  1. Verify that the prepaid card is registered with the correct billing address and ZIP code.
  2. Confirm the card has enough available balance, accounting for any pending authorizations.
  3. Try purchasing a smaller gift card amount if the retailer allows it.
  4. Contact the retailer’s customer support and ask why the order was canceled they can often tell you if it was a payment issue or a fraud-screening decision.
  5. If possible, use a standard debit or credit card instead of a prepaid card.

Your Fourth point.

You're seriously asking someone with a spammed card to contact customer support. On what basis would he be laying his complaint if he's required to present some docs for verification or even asked to come to the bank in person.
What would you have him do if the card he has is of a female and he's calling Support with a male voice.
How does he contact Support if he doesn't have access to the victim's credit report? How does he answer the questions thrown at him? Or you think the bank will just divulge informations without verifying if it's the real one of the card that's calling?
Little wonder how some of you get caught by the Feds when you're this stupid and careless.

It's really astonishing how dumb you are and what's most troubling is how you keep portraying yourself as knowledgeable on this space.

And your First point.

Why asking him to verify if the prepaid card is registered with the correct billing. If it isn't, how would the card get approved and activated in the first place? Or maybe you probably think the bank will approve a card with incorrect infos. Why do you think almost all of them now request Face ID and other biometrics before approving any card application. I wonder what you think this is. 🤦🤦

If the bank notices a slight misinformation that doesn't align with victim's infos, never will they approve such card for usage in the first place. So your first point is really a dumb take.

For those that applies for cards using Pros, if they don't make adjustments to the victim's credit report BEFORE applying for the card, they'll only be wasting their time. Banks aren't stupid. Quit making fraud sound like it's easy dude. Enlighten yourself and quit selling people dreams.

I understand what you’re saying, but activating a prepaid card and having it approved for purchases aren’t always the same thing. A card can be successfully issued and activated, yet a purchase can still be declined or canceled if the billing information on a specific transaction doesn’t match what the merchant or payment processor expects..

I'll respectfully disagree. A card that is successfully and legally issued and activated can be spent anywhere. Merchant, over the counter, even spent by balance transfer. You'll only get declined when you go behind some certain limits.

In the case of controlled cards, they all have limits. Depending on the bank issuer. If you stay within limits, you're good. If you exceed, you're in trouble. Some folks possess a card with $30,000 credit line and attempt to spend all that at once on a merchant. What reason are you giving the bank to want to debit your card with such amount all at once? Only bank Wire and DD allows such without issues. Some folks even go to the extent of purchasing Gift cards at stores and wanting to spend all $30,000 at once in a single day. Of cos you'll get declined. Worse, the card will get locked.

All these restrictions you mentioned can only be a thing when you are dealing with spammed cards. A fully self controlled registered card can be spent anywhere. Online and offline.

And of cos, spending a controlled card online has to be done carefully. A lot has to do with how to shield your footprints online. You can't have a card with Oklahoma billing and then proceed to set your IP to Florida. Of cos whatever transaction you're doing will definitely be subjected to scrutiny.

Fraud is tactical. You snooze, you loose.
